This is one of my favorite images taken on a road trip with Olivia Copeland for her senior portrait session in Natchez, Mississippi. I am sharing this because it is a perfect example of my work.
I have had a camera in my hand since I was about 10 years old. I wanted to be a professional photographer but Mom didn't think it was a good idea. So...I went to nursing school. I hated it...finally dropped out, got married and went to work. I eventually landed a job in a medical office of all places. All this time...I have taken pics of family and friends...with no pay.
.Until one day...someone wanted me to take some shots for her wedding and that is where I panicked. I prayed for God to help me with that. I took some classes...impatiently because I just want to take pictures. You know... have some fun.
God gave me the desire and dream of photography...and I now I finally get to do it. God always gives us the desires of our heart...just might not be in the time frame we want.
My mom has finally accepted my artistic bent for photography instead of the medical field.. And I still work my day job at the medical office. But...this is my dream job. My heartbeat. Photography. My name is Gail. Inbox me. Let me capture some images for you.
